The artist is a long-time resident of Cardiff by the Sea, California. He is the founding partner of a design/build firm M.A.C. Design and Development. As an artist he seeks to capture nature in an often-surreal manner on large canvases. His technique often involves "capturing" the elements of wind and water. He uses fans placed strategically over the large canvases and sprays water over the acrylic pigments. The wind guides the tinted water in the directions he maneuvers. He uses brushes to enhance and finish a painting.
At this unprecedented event of the corona virus pandemic, I am moved to capture, on canvas, the natural similarities between the fluidity of this deadly microscopic pathogen moving through society and schools of fish flowing freely through the endless ocean.
One is ugly and one is beautiful in our perception; both have similarities.

Our bodies are like oceans to the scale of a virus.
Both flow at will and without boundaries.
Either the fish are caught up in nets or the virus confronted with treatment, both live with that peril.
As an artist, I am more interested in the ebb and flow nature of both.
The classic paradox of beauty and evil is played out here. The terrifying nature of "rona" and soft, sinuous, and often colorful school of fish.
